“I help you translate complexity into something you can run.”
M.A. Roundtree & Co.
MARCO is where clarity becomes structure—and structure becomes outcomes. I work with leaders, organizations, and individuals who are carrying complex work and need a steady, disciplined way to move forward. Sometimes that looks like decision support when priorities are competing. Sometimes it’s designing an operating rhythm that reduces chaos. Sometimes it’s writing the narrative in a way that earns trust with boards, funders, and stakeholders. The common thread is simple: I help you translate complexity into something you can run.
-
MARCO is intentionally broad. It’s the “architect” side of my work—strategy, systems, communication, learning, and public-facing thought leadership. If you’re looking specifically for bookkeeping, QuickBooks setup, monthly close, or grant tracking, that work lives under Myq Tree. MARCO is for the higher-level structure and the writing that carries the work.
-
I also speak and facilitate conversations for teams and audiences who want clarity, structure, and usable frameworks—especially around leadership, execution, learning, and communicating complex work in plain language. Whether it’s a keynote, a workshop, or a working session with a team, my goal is always the same: people leave with language and structures they can use immediately.
WORK WITH ME
I work with leaders, organizations, and individuals who want clarity and structure—not vague strategy and not endless meetings. Engagements are designed to produce usable outcomes: a clear direction, an operating system, a credible narrative, or a repeatable learning plan. Most work begins with a short alignment conversation to confirm fit, scope, and the outcome you want.
-
This is for leaders who need a second brain—someone to help them think clearly, prioritize, and make decisions that hold up. We work through complexity without panic: what matters, what’s true, what’s next, and what tradeoffs you’re actually making. The output is direction, structure, and momentum, often captured in a short written plan you can execute.
-
When execution feels inconsistent, I help design the internal architecture: roles, workflows, checklists, meeting rhythms, and documentation that makes performance repeatable. This work is for organizations that want to run smoother, reduce bottlenecks, and stop relying on heroic effort. The deliverable is a usable operating structure—clear enough that the team can maintain it without me.
-
This is for leaders and organizations who need clean, credible communication: grant narratives, strategy briefs, board memos, program descriptions, and public-facing language. We clarify the story, tighten the logic, and write in a way that earns trust. The goal is clarity without oversimplifying—and persuasion without fluff.
-
This is structured support for people navigating demanding material or high-stakes goals. We build a learning system that fits your real life: weekly plan, practice structure, accountability rhythm, and explanations that make difficult material workable. The aim is independence over time—progress that becomes predictable because the system is sound.
-
I speak and facilitate sessions for teams and audiences who want practical clarity and usable frameworks. Formats include keynotes, workshops, retreats, and working sessions. Topics commonly include leadership and decision-making under pressure, building operating structure, communicating complex work clearly, learning systems that reduce overwhelm, and execution habits that make progress repeatable. Every session is designed so people leave with language, tools, and a structure they can apply immediately.
If you’re interested in working together, reach out with what you’re building, what feels stuck, and the outcome you want on the other side. I’ll respond with suggested next steps and the simplest path forward.
About Me
I’m Michael A. Roundtree, Jr.—a systems-minded operator, writer, and advisor who helps people translate complexity into clarity and structure. My foundation is technical at its core: I studied chemistry and mathematics, with research grounded in theoretical chemistry and theoretical physics. That training shaped how I think—how to break problems down, test assumptions, build models, then communicate complex ideas clearly without losing accuracy.
